This completely individual performance emerges from the distinctive connections of man and machine, of the instrument and the software, transporting the audience into a surrealistic world of sounds we have come to expect from the two artists.
German producer and composer Henrik Schwarz and Norwegian jazz pianist Bugge Wesseltoft have been making music together for quite some time. At their improvisational concerts they play what is probably today's most exciting fusion of electronica and jazz, making each performance a unique musical abstraction that goes beyond genres and their combination.
With Scripted & Prepared Pianos they bring their most recent live production to Akvárium Klub. As before, the duo explores the connections of old and new things, but now making the sound purely acoustic. The project involves two classical pianos, one of which is connected to a computer. The script-driven instrument plays complex rhythms fed into it on the fly, as the programme converts them into sounds that can be produced on a piano.
